Slurry Balance TBM is adaptable to the geological condition of low ground water pressure and high soil permeability coefficient, which is widely applied to the operation of road, rail tunnels crossing the river and sea.
NHI’s Slurry TBM adopts the advanced technology of air cushion bentonite, which can control the pressure of tunnel face accurately and reduce the impacts of land subsidence. The cutter can be selected flexibly by the geological condition in order to achieve the maximum efficiency. Moreover, it adopts the proprietary technology of changing cutter under normal pressure, which achieves the safe activities of changing cutter with normal pressure underwater. The core technology of slurry system’s high-pressure scouring can ensure that the cutter cannot be incrusted when conducting soft ground construction. The seal for main drive adopts specific technology. Slurry balance TBM can be operated continually under pressure of 10bar for 10000 hours. This product improves the safety performance and reliability for constructions of large, long and deep tunneling.
