Six Major Heavy Machinery Companies in China Gather at NHI to Discuss Quality Enhancement Strategies
On July 17, the Quality Benchmarking Meeting of the six major heavy machinery companies, hosted by the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association and organized by NHI, was held in Shenyang. Quality system leaders from Northern Heavy Industries, China First Heavy Industries, Erzhong (Deyang) Heavy Equipment Company, Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group, CITIC Heavy Industries, and Dalian Huarui Heavy Industry Group engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing industry quality. Jing Xiaobo, Executive President of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, and Tang Chao, Vice President, attended the meeting and delivered important speeches. Zhang Yifei, President of NHI, delivered a speech, while Ye Long, Chief Engineer, participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Miao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association.
In his speech, Zhang Yifei emphasized that quality is the foundation for a company’s survival and development, as well as the core of industry competitiveness. NHI has always practiced the concept of “quality-oriented company establishment and innovation-driven development,” implementing strict quality control throughout the entire process, from R&D and design to production and manufacturing, and then to after-sales service, ensuring product safety, reliability, and outstanding performance. He stated that in the face of fierce market competition, heavy machinery companies must continuously improve quality levels to win customer trust with high-quality products and services, achieving sustainable development. NHI is willing to share experiences with industry peers and jointly promote quality advancements.
The six major heavy machinery companies represent the “national team” of China’s heavy machinery industry and set industry standards. The meeting held at NHI is a high recognition of the company’s quality management efforts by the heavy machinery industry and will make new contributions to enhancing industry quality. The meeting discussed issues such as information-based quality control, quality team building, enhancing employee quality awareness, quality classification management, and the compilation of customer satisfaction standards. Representatives from various companies shared practical experiences in using big data, artificial intelligence, and other technologies to achieve real-time quality data monitoring and early warning. They explored the role of talent cultivation and incentive mechanisms in quality team building and reached a consensus on strengthening overall quality awareness through training and reward systems. Additionally, regarding the compilation of group standards for customer satisfaction in the heavy machinery industry, participating companies actively provided suggestions to further refine the standards.
Participants unanimously agreed on the need to establish a regular communication mechanism, conduct benchmarking activities periodically, and extend them to areas such as technological innovation and production management to promote comprehensive enterprise improvement. They also proposed the establishment of an industry-wide quality information sharing platform to promote the dissemination of advanced practices and elevate the overall quality standards of the industry.
This meeting provided a valuable exchange opportunity for the six major heavy machinery companies. Through experience learning and resource sharing, it injected new impetus into the high-quality development of the heavy machinery industry. In the future, various companies will continue to deepen cooperation and jointly promote China’s heavy machinery manufacturing industry to a higher level.
