Li Chen of NHI : "Pioneer" in TBM Assembly
Recently, the May 1st labor medal list of Tiexi District in 2022 was announced, Li Chen, the monitor of the general assembly team #1 of the assembly workshop #1 of the tunnel boring equipment branch of NHI, was on the list. People familiar with him said that it is the honor he deserved.In 2009, Li Chen became a fitter in the assembly workshop of the TBM branch of NHI. In 2014, Li Chen volunteered to take the lead in undertaking the assembly task of the main drive of 14.1m Dia. TBM for Hong Kong Liantang project, which is the largest earth pressure balance TMB in Asia, he carefully studied the drawings, discussed the assembly process with relevant technicians and customer supervisors, strictly controlled each process and maintained a spirit of hard work day and night to ensure that the main drive assembly reached the best standard and won the high praise of experts.
After the completion of the project, he became a technical backbone. Since then, with high morale, he has participated in Metro projects in Northwest Liaoning, Singapore and Shenyang, and played an important role in those projects.
At the beginning of 2017, Li Chen became the monitor of the fitter class and began to lead the team. Since then, he has brought his hard work to the team. In 2018, the Xinjiang Hard Rock TBM project with greater technical difficulties was appointed to his team. On the one hand, he led the team members to work day and night on the front line, and on the other hand, he actively carried out technological and process innovation.
Li Chen showed great strength. In order to successfully complete the project, he organized the production of various special tooling, including a tooling tool that can replace a variety of measuring tools, saving a lot of time for the later assembly of the cutter head, and finally completed the assembly task of the whole machine in the shortest time.
At the end of 2019, Li Chen received that he would complete the task of Shandong semi coal rock project within a few months. By optimizing the assembly scheme, improving the assembly method, organizing production and other effective measures, he ensured the timely delivery of products. Especially at the installation site of this project, Li Chen and his team overcame such adverse factors as darkness, humidity, muggy, narrow space and limited assembly conditions more than 600 meters underground and ensured the construction period. In 2021, Li Chen led the team to complete the on-site disassembly of reconstruction projects such as the South extension line of Shenyang Metro Line 2, pipe gallery No. 2 and No. 4, as well as the assembly of the complete machine of pipe gallery No. 2. Facing the heavy workload and arduous task, he successfully completed the task with one effort. It is precisely because all attacks are firm and play an important role at critical moments.
